Meet the Team

Robert J. Bartol - Bob is one of the primary leaders within the management structure of LogicHaul and started with the conception of the company in 2003. Bob graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh and since then has attended numerous seminars on transportation management at UW Madison. He has been in transportation since employment at Badger Mining Corporation in 1984 and is responsible for the growth and profitability of BMC’s lease fleet. Bob has worked closely with tariffs, pre Staggers Act 1980, and contract administration. He gained his experience from working with marketing personnel of the Union Pacific, Southern Pacific, Missouri Kansas & Texas, Burlington Northern, Atchison Topeka & Santa Fe, Green Bay & Western and Chesapeake & Ohio Railroads.

Bob is responsible for the development of the LogicTraX program, and the administration of over sixty confidential rail contracts, profitable management of 1100 leased railcars and over $33 million in pre-paid rail freight and detention charges.

Randy J. Hess – Randy started at LogicHaul in the summer of 2005 and is a co-leader in the management structure of LogicHaul. Randy worked for Badger Mining Corporation 1987 to 1996 as a member of the sales and marketing team. In 1989 he relocated to Rock Springs, WY as the regional sales and transload manager where he started and managed 4 oil & gas sand transload sites on the Union Pacific & Burlington Northern Railroads in the Rockies. In 1992 returned to Wisconsin as regional foundry sales representative and managed two foundry sand transload sites in Milwaukee and Green Bay on the Wisconsin Southern Railroad & Wisconsin Central Railroad until October 1996. In October 1996, started and operated a manufacturing business until selling the business in June 2005.

He received a B.A. in Business Administration from Lakeland College in Sheboygan, WI in 1987.

Shelly Bernhagen - Shelly started with LogicHaul at its conception in 2003. She has been in the transportation field since 1991, while being employed at Badger Mining Corporation. Shelly gained her experience from working with various railroads, leasing companies, and customers. Shelly was project champion in the development of the LogicTraX program. She monitors over 2500 railcars including their tracking, diversions, overloads, bad orders, demurrage, repair bills, etc.

Kathy Perner – Kathy started with LogicHaul at its conception in 2003. She has been in the transportation field since 1989, while being employed at Badger Mining Corporation. She gained her experience working with customers and various railroads. She monitors over 1200 railcars including their tracking, diversions, overloads and bad orders.
